At 0.58 you seem to have skipped in the tutorial and we see a bunch of additional nodes all of a sudden. I can't make out the names of the additional nodes as the video resolution doesn't allow for clarity to see the names. I think last method is best with 2k or 4k textures, and use it on some key elements of our render. So using a mix of 1st and last method would be fine... (for concept enviroments)

I would say that it is just an HDRI, a shadows catcher and composition in Photoshop. But great job anyway
